I'm brand new to this forum, and am as depressed as everyone else over last saturday's loss to ole miss.On a lighter note, however, I was amused at the time clock malfunctions at the beginning of the game.My first year at LSU was the year of the miraculous last second drive to win the game in tiger stadium. This drive of nearly 80 yards culminated in a touchdown pass from Bert Jones to Brad Davis with no time left on the clock. This TD tied the game and LSU won after they kicked the extra point with no time left in the game.My recollection is that the entire drive took about 15 seconds or so.The replays showed that the game clock stopped after every play extraordinarily fast! In fact the Mississippi press claimed that there were 4 seconds that should have ticked off but didn't.The next year we played ole miss in Jackson and as we drove north of Kentwood, ther was a sign on the Miss. side that said "YOU ARE NOW ENTERING MISSISSIPPI SET YOUR WATCHES AHEAD 4 SECONDS". after we blew them away 62-14 there was a sign on the Louisiana side "WELCOME BACK TO LOUISIANA SLOW DOWN FROM 62 TO 14!!".So please in the future don't ever boo the time clock operators in tiger stadium. Please comment on your memories of these games.:miles:
Welcome to the board. Just a FYI, this is the recruiting forum. You can place a thread like this one in the regular (main) forum. Enjoy!
You're right. Sorry, I thought I was in the other forum.I guess you can tell by my reminiscence that I may be old and feeble minded.Oops maybe the moderators can move this to the appropriate forum.
They will. Welcome again. I am sure some members will be able to relate to your post and give you good feedback. We have really old people like SabanFan, who remembers leather helmets.
