Has anyone heard any progress on this kid? I would love to have another solid quaterback like him in the mix.

Word on the Birmingham news and Paul FinneBaum (local Radio Guy) says one of Tebow's best friends just signed with Flordia and has Alabama coaches and fans really worried now. Only thing I ever hear is between these two schools.

Apparently he just loved his visit to Florida...looks like we are out of it with him.

i dont think ive ever seen a player give a school a bad review.. most are nice and say "yeah, it was great. They have a great program. They have great facilities. They are great" about everyone.

From one of his team mates in an interview in the Tuscaloosa News.

"I think he is going to Alabama," said Kirschman. "I don't see why he wouldn't go to Alabama. I have been hinting to him every day he needs to go to Alabama. I don't think the commitment of Jarred Fayson to Florida will have influence on his decision at all."

"He had a great time when he went to all the Alabama games this year. He is like a celebrity there. The student section is always chanting his name, and they made a lot of signs for him. The cheerleaders would take pictures with him, and random fans would ask him to sign autographs. There is no other place like Alabama. The Florida fans nor the LSU fans ever showed him that much support."

I've made a post in another thread (the hush news bama thread) about what I heard from the pastor's family where his family goes to church.

I can tell you this, the notion Finebaum was putting out there about the staff being nervous was just to get his "callers." He's pulling chains, again.

The only thing that makes UF a good possibility is he's been a life long UF fan...and that weighs on every kids mind. It's not the deciding factor in a lot though. I know Tim has been seeking advice from players in the Jaguar football group and it's been very encouraging hearing what the team there has been saying.

We've seen how Urban's spread attack worked in year 1...and this is just me personally but if I wanted to have a career in the NFL it wouldn't be a hard choice to make between an option attack or a pro-set for my college days.

I don't follow the recruiting stuff nearly as closely as some of y'all. So I'm wondering, is this kid this year's Perrilloux? Both in terms of talent and the drama around his commitment?

Seems to me it would make sense for him to go to Bama, other than the fact it's well...Bama.

He is #1, because this is a bad year for quarterbacks...

He isn't nearly as good as RP or Sanchez was last year

I don't know if that is a fair shake or not. Two different styles from those mentioned. He doesn't have the "talk" that RP did, that's for sure. :yelwink2: :thumb:

However, when you have schools like LSU, USC, Florida, Michigan and Bama after him you know he has something to offer.

Oh, there is another one waiting in the wings that is from Alabama...has a great upside and has set a lot of records in Alabama this year. Spurrior is after him pretty hard but if we don't get TT, not all is lost IMO.

whom do you speak of Terry? Surely it isn't Ross Wilson. I haven't kept up with Alabama high school ball in a couple of years, so I don't know who the big time prospects are anymore.
