Name one player on either of those teams that was remotely as good as Tebow. Jason White doesn't count because he was damaged goods.
Google: Heisman winners on national championship winners There are no two time National Championship winners on that list over the last 50 years except Tebow. And until today he had a chance for A THIRD. Google: Sophomore Heisman winners You'll find Sam Bradford, who had one great year and gone, and Tebow, who could still win another Heisman, albeit against long odds. Google: College players to score 20 TDs passing and 20 TDs rushing One guy - yep, Tebow. So, I guess I erred by putting "one of the greatest college players" and maybe I should have left out "one of", eh? :yelwink2:
Daniel Wuerffel anyone? One of the best college QBs ever. National Championship and Heisman in his last year along with 4 SEC titles. College and NFL are totally different. Tebow likely doesn't even care about money much, so that's good. Besides, he will probably get free anything and everything for the rest of his life as long as he stays in Florida. It is still a little strange to think that someone that dominant on the college level is sort of an afterthought going into the draft.
every time i think of the possibility of tebow as an nfl qb, i think of him crying whenever he loses. wouldnt that just make whatever team fans cringe?!? nothin says nfl tough like a crying qb! :hihi:
