I'm sure that Tebow does, in fact, "have it." I'm also just as sure that he will have a harder time against us. It will be a challenge, but if I may tweak a popular saying, "If you want to be the best, you have to BEAT the best."
I think it was a good starter game to see what we are working with. Grant had some pretty shifty moves to get out of traffic though. JPW needs to settle down a bit and get his throws on cue. We will know a little more against Vandy and a lot more with Arky the following week...
Congrats to Bama...they just allowed as many points to Western Carolina as any SEC team has...6. But, Bama MAY be good. Who knows? They couldn't prove anything against that team. I just find it funny that people were saying we couldn't know whether or not we were good by beating MSU 45-0.
Not to mention his annoying arms and fists in the air jumping around dance that he does after he does, well nearly ANYthing decent.
Everyone in the SEC (even Bama fans) know that the Tide offense is going to have to outscore the opponent. The Bama D is just too young and not very deep. We had a true freshman (Rolando McClain) make 7 tackles yesterday... For the record, this guy is a STUD! The offense looked good. Special teams were ok...We had some nice returns by Javier Arenas but Tiffin missed 2 FG's once again. :dis: I think that it will definately be a better year than last! The D and the O both look promising for years to come!
Can I add Tennessee now? Not today. T. Tebow passes to: C. Ingram for 25 yard gain, R. Cooper for 30 yard touchdown, L. Murphy for 16 yard gain, P. Harvin for 10 yard gain, to C. Ingram for 11 yard gain, to P. Harvin for 49 yard gain, L. Murphy for 44 yard gain. Pretty good outing. Did I tell you all he can run too?? :hihi:
Florida's offense is so diverse. Misdirections, play actions, options. This will be the toughest test for our D all year.
Tebow looked outstanding, tiga, but I really have to question Urban Meyer's decision to leave Tim in there up 49-20 with 8 minutes to go in the game.. then he sneaks Tebow on fourth down? And then has him throw a 44-yard pass downfield? (Sweet strike, by the way. This kid is a bigger, stronger, and faster version of Alex Smith. Wow!) Why even bother keeping Tebow in let alone running and throwing it up 29 in the fourth? Questionable decision-making, imo. Brian ~Go Tigers!~
I agree, he should have been watching from the sideline but they're going to start pimping him as a Heisman candidate......watch. But hey, I'm not a "Fan" of his, just giving due credit cause there are so many naysayers who can't take off the glasses. I don't see him having the same day against us but he brings a lot to the table.
