Tim Tebow coming back for senior season

Good. I want another shot at him. It'll be nice to make him 'O-for-Death Valley.' The only thing better than a picture of Tebow crying his way off the field is TWO pictures of Tebow crying his way off the field.

And I agree that he won't play QB in the NFL. He has nowhere near the arm strength or mechanics of a pro QB. If he does end up at QB, I doubt it will last long. His running style (over you rather than around you) will get him hurt pretty quickly in the NFL

 

He throws an ugly ball and has a long wind-up, but his numbers are as solid as any drop-back passer in the league. And if ANYBODY has the heart and desire and SHEER WILL to learn a position correctly, it'd be Tebow.

He won't start in his first few years and will probably never break records, but I believe there may be a place for him on a roster.

 

Losing the two OTs is huge. They aren't run of the mill guys.. they were extremely good and technically sound.

Rahim Alem might have a big game against a relatively inexperienced OT :wave: They'll be thin at the guard position too. Quality starter but very young depth.

Hope we can drop them.

 

Stats don't really tell the whole story, though. Hell, Timmy Chang is the all-time NCAA passing leader. Also, Tebow has been running that quirky system, which doesn't require drop-back passer capability, and is not conducive to producing pro QBs. See also: Alex Smith.

I would tend to agree with this. However, all the desire in the world can't teach you arm strength. They've actually worked on his mechanics extensively while at UF. What you see now is about is as good as it's going to get.

 

Not surprised, to me this signals that Tebow wants to play QB in the NFL. If he was getting advise that he wouldn't get a shot at QB in the NFL then he would just as soon declare now and start learning his new position, a position he would never play at Florida. Any history for a player in the NFL to begin his career attempting to play quarterback, not succeeding but moving to another position ? I guess you could argue that Michael Vick is probably going to do just that !

Is this why Tebow came back?
He probably wasnt going to be able to fully compete in the combine.
