Someone shoot me. I hate to pile on but he's so bad. Buck isn't much better. Not that anyone else watches baseball but these guys dont help the cause. Mccarver said during the last broadcast pitchers will be wearing helmets by possibly next year. Most are just him saying facts that are blatantly wrong or missing obvious calls or even more commonly what type pitch was thrown. The saints season will officially end tonight so I'll be watching that closely.
Timmy Mac has had a better go of it tonight. Good baseball game. Not so good for the saints. Scherzer has 2 diff color eyes which always distracts me.
For the record Ryan theriot is the dh and possibly the smallest since the 1930s it would seem. And fox's super slo mo almost makes up,for the horrid announcing.
Theriot scored the game winner to complete the sweep and win the world series. That would make b2b rings since I think he won it last year with the cards.
It's also the second time that he's scored the winning run in the last at-bat to capture a championship for his team...the first being against Stanford in 2000. Cannot believe Mascona whiffed on this coincidence yesterday, although he may have been too young in 2000 to remember it lucidly.
I never, ever listen to sports talk radio anymore, but randomly decided to turn it on in the company car on the way back from a job site yesterday. I just happened to hear that segment on Matt's show, and was obviously pretty surprised that that coincidence was lost on him.
