Wow... Tim Floyd Resigns at USC Hot off the presses. USC Trojans coach Tim Floyd submits resignation - ESPN Tim Floyd, who some think could have been the coach at LSU instead of Trent Johnson, has just sent in his resignation as head coach of USC. There's a lot to this story, but at the end of the day, it's a testament to the very turbulent times facing college coaches especially with the nefarious impact of hoops recruiting and these "one and done" players. Part of this really is also a little bit of an indictment to the kind of coach Floyd is... there has been a tendency here to put him on a pedestal (I was guilty of the same), but in hindsight, you've seen him now leave several programs under different, troubling circumstances. In any case, it's a good thing LSU ended up with Floyd friend, Trent Johnson :thumb:. It also, from a LSU perspective, probably cuts off somewhat a small pipeline of recruiting interest of LA hoops players to USC, now that Floyd won't be visiting LA as often as a college recruiter. :yelwink2:
