I agree. How many athletes chose another school over LSU just to end up regetting the decision and transferring to Tiger Town. Shyrone Carey for one. There were others.
Wasn't Tillman the recruit that committed early & said that he wanted to go somewhere he could win a lot of games because he was used to winning? I am pretty sure that was him. HAHAHA!
Yep...that was him already. Typical modern-day recruiting B.S. where a recruit gives an early (and in Tillman's case....VERY EARLY) committment and then backs out.
A little before seven this am, there was a knock on my door. It was Marcus's Dad. He said , "I just wanted to tell you that Marcus has decided that he is going to Ole Miss." I told him that I hoped that was a good choice for him and that he enjoys his college experience. He said that Marcus was planning on majoring in architecture and just felt like OM was where he wanted to go. He said that they had a good weekend at Alabama while visiting there this past weekend. He said the choice had come down to those two. He also told me they had a real bad night last night. Certain coaches calling, being critical of OM and Marcus's decision.....saying "We are gonna do this and that.." Ya know....sometimes a young man might make a decision based on other things. Not "everyone" loves" LSU, or OM, or Ala., or USC. Marcus is an intelligent young man who comes from a good Christian family. Matter of fact, his father is a preacher with a degree in divinity. I just wish him success and happiness. The same thing I wish for all your signees.
Good luck to him on being a D-1 athlete and an architecture major. I wouldn't wish that amount of courseload plus practice etc. on my worst enemy.
Not honestly... I really didn't ask him any further questions. Kind of figured that if wanted to tell me, he would have.
