WOW! If this trade works out, the Tigers will be the odds on favorite to win the World Series.

Miguel Cabrera is gonna add to an already great offense. Maggs, Shef, and MC as the heart of the lineup is scary.

D-train will also help a damn good rotation. It will be interesting to see how well he performs in the AL.....the "hitters" league.

If D-Train returns to form, this is highway robbery, but this past season, he was average at best. Let's see how it all works out.

I still think Boston with Santana would be better than Det, though.

dontrelle is done. now a fraud somewhat. hes just another #4 pitcher, maybe #5 in the AL.

Now Fat Miguel is a future hall of famer. Absolute pure hitter but somewhat a prima dona if reports ive heard over the years are correct. should be great chemistry with sheffield.

once johan heads to beantown, just engrave the WS trophy then.

Good deal for the Marlins. They got Andrew Miller who the Tigers should have never given up and a top outfielder for a washed up lefty. Cabrera is awesome but the Marlins were going to have to deal him and did it successfully. Miller is better than Willis anyways.

I dunno...is it possible that Dontrelle just had a bad year? I don't know jack about the prospects involved, but if Dontrelle is even a #2 pitcher, coupled with Husky-size, this is a steal.

I agree fully with you, NLMD.

Dude had a 5 ERA this year, but in 06, he was 12-12 with a 3.83 era and in 05, he was 22-10 with a 2.63 era.

it's hard to give up on someone that is 25... especially when he is the second best player you're getting in a deal.

possibly but ive watched the marlins as much or more than any other team except maybe the rays. I wouldnt have touched dtrain unless he was the throw-in in a deal if I was a GM. worth a flyer of course.

hell, any lefty who can throw strikes is worth their weight in gold. But, dontrelle has problems finding the strike zone and his pitch counts seem to be astronomical at times. unless his middle name is livan, which is spanish for rubber arm, Id be extremely leery.

as far as prospects? can you guarantee any will be hall of famers? andrew miller and maybin are two studs but still not proven.

I can assure you mcab will be if he stays uninjured. was careful not to say remains healthy. he's healthy like c.c. I suppose and only 24. so of course i love him.
