Hey Guys, I'm fairly new to this thread. I wonder if LSU has made plans or aspired to get their team to meet with the Saints. I think it would be a great opportunity for coaches and players to get a chance to meet guys like Sean Payton, Greg Williams, Drew Brees, Thomas, Bush, Shockey, Sharper you get the idea. Im suprised that I haven't heard anything about this or that no one has brought it up. But I would love to hear about Brees giving insight to our quarterbacks and our coaching staff getting help and ideas from New Orleans coaches. Just a thought, would be great for it to happen.

I also used to wonder why the college guys didn't get to attend offseason, voluntary workouts the pros have. Someone like Jefferson would be able to pick Brees' brain and get a lot of insight.

I think the Manning kids used to hang out at the Saints camp a lot...maybe that's where Peyton learned to be such a sore loser and how not to shake hands after the game...like a courageous Brett Favre did !!.

    welcome aboard.

as far as your question, i have no real answer. my snarky sarcastic answer would be im sure there's some sort of ncaa rule against it some where. :hihi:

other than that, im sure someone will be along hitting you up for beer shortly.

i think it's an interesting idea for fans of both LSU and the saints, but honestly how much do any of those guys really care about LSU being that they'd probably rather meet with their alma maters? bush and USC, brees and Purdue, henderson and gay and LSU, etc.

Good point JayB. However, the way all of those guys embraced New Orleans, it doesn't seem like too much of a stretch for them to embrace the entire state and it's flagship university.

no, not a stretch at all. but i think on a personal level a lot of the players will probably talk/hangout/get pointers. though i'm not sure if it would be a really public, coordinated event.

agreed. i don't know if the ncaa would even allow such a thing. i gotta believe that CSP will be invited to come speak to the team at some point though.
