We are the leader for Rae Sykes out of Alcoa, TN. He is a DE and is FAST, FAST AND FAST. The article below is out of our local paper today. He is also a great kid and student. We had 5 kids sign scholarships this year, including a 5 star (Brandon Warren) that went to FSU and a 3 star (Dustin Lindsey) that signed with UT. A two-year starter whose 2005 season was cut short when he suffered a broken arm during playoff practices, Sykes has been offered by Tennessee, LSU, Florida State and North Carolina State. LSU gained an audience with Sykes before anyone else. ``LSU was the first one to really sit down, talk to me and offer me,'' Sykes said. ``So they are up in the high rankings right now.''
Sounds good--especially with Tillman jumping ship so late....but notice, he didn't say we were "leading"...he said he'd put us "in the high rankings"--which would indicate top 3-5.
True, but we can hope. I see him a lot around town and he almost always has some type of Tiger gear on. My son had on a LSU baseball shirt last summer and he came up to him telling him that "LSU was his team too".
