    Bored waiting for the game to start, so I thought I'd gather up this info for the board. There are 35 former Tigers on 22 opening day rosters this season, along with another 6 on practice squads, and 2 on various injured lists.

    Ten teams have no Tigers on the active roster, although 2 (Texas and Minnesota) have practice squad Tigers. Nine teams have more than one Tiger, led once again by Kansas City with 5. Dallas and Washington have 3 each. The Saints have 2 active, Randall Gay and Devery Henderson, and Harry Coleman on the practice squad. Curiously, the team that was once LSU North, New England, is down to just one Tiger; Kevin Faulk.

    Every position is represented by at least one Tiger except for placekicker. The most common position is WR with 5; Buster Davis, Devery Henderson, Dwayne Bowe, Brandon Lafell and Early Doucet.

    5 rookies are on active rosters; Jacob Cutrera, LB, Jacksonville; Danny McCray, S, Dallas; Perry Riley, LB, Washington; Keiland Wiliams, RB, Washington; and Brandon LaFell, WR, Carolina. I didn't look at everyone's experience, so I'm not sure about the oldest Tiger. I believe its Alan Faneca, Arizona, though Stephen Peterman with Detroit and Todd McClure with Atlanta are up there as well. Some players I was surprised did not get picked up after being released: Darry Beckwith, Chevis Jackson, Jarvis Green (who I've always wanted to see in black and gold), Ali Highsmith and Jamarcus Russell. Well, maybe not JR.

    Isn't Kevin Faulk still at NE? he and Faneca went pro together. Todd McClure may be the longest.
    BTW where is the complete list?

    Which one of these making active roster is the biggest surprise?

    Jacob Cutrera, LB, Jacksonville;
    Danny McCray, S, Dallas;
    Perry Riley, LB, Washington;
    Keiland Wiliams, RB, Washington;
    Brandon LaFell, WR, Carolina.

    I vote either Jacob or Danny. There is no way you could have convinced me at the start of the season last year Jacob had the speed to play on Sundays.

    Actually I am surprised by Keiland. He has the talent but never saw the attitude.
    Where is Charles Scott?
    Finally interesting about both Perry and Jacob. Their capability and stock rises after a year of Chavis' teaching. The man can coach players up.

    Faneca left his Jr. year, one year before Faulk. McClure and Faulk came out the same year. Faneca was the second LSU player to leave his Jr. year for the draft. Want to guess who the first LSU player was?

    Wait a second, I thought Charles Scott got shipped off to Arizona?

    edit: nm....I just saw where Zona cut him and NYG signed him to practice squad.

    Eddie Kennison came out his Jr. year.

    Remember this with Mawae playing last year, he had the longest career in the NFL by an LSU player. He passed former Tigers Y. A. Tittle and Roy "Moonie"Winston with 15 year in the Pros.
