Kind of funny: If LSU were to get a bid to the Peach Bowl, this senior class's postseason will have been 4 trips to Atlanta and 2 trips to New Orleans.
It won't be Jefferson that will win the game for us. Arkansas stopped him pretty well in the second half - his knowledge is too limited at this time. Hopefully he'll prove me wrong, but I put more hope into the rest of the team stepping up.
Arky stopped him cold because we shut down the offense. Until someone decided to play to not lose... JJ was ripping them up. And with another month of preparation, I think JJ is even better.
I'm not so sure. I think the best of Jefferson and Lee is yet to come, and the most we can hope of them this year is to not be a liability. It seems Jefferson struggles to keep his passes on point, which doesn't make the D respect the pass, which backfires on a running QB. We shall see, though. With a real defense, anything is possible.
I'd like to see us bring in some blocking and JJ used in some short screen plays, maybe to holiday... if it's not there let him take off, but I think we could chew up some good yards with it. I'd also like to see more 6-7 yard passes and concentrate on picking up first downs, rather than wait until 3rd and 14 and try tossing 20 yard passes for incompletions. Or hell even run that lafell hand ff to Holiday down the side line. Worked well several times. But something has to be done about moving us down the field. If we go to many 3 and outs... our D will give up.
That is not completely accurate. I remember Mitchel was wide open, no one within ten yards on a sideline pattern and JJ threw at his feet. On the same pattern that he hit Dickson for a TD, later he over threw the receiver by a couple of yards. Arkansas also started putting more pressure on him and stopped his running. I think the pressure got him rattled and he appeared to be aiming his passes instead of throwing naturaly.

Either Alabama or Florida would have to take a serious pounding Saturday to fall out of BCS bowl contention...and even that might not be enough. We're headed to either the Peach Bowl or the Outback Bowl.
I'm thinking the Peach-fil-A versus Georgia Tech, but I hear GT ain't all that anxious to play in Atlanta. Suits me. I ain't all that anxious to play a Georgia team in Georgia.
