PP says he ran a 4.29 last week and has told everyone over the last month he will run a 4.2 this week. Guess PP isn't scared of the added pressure.
I was at a function yesterday and a couple of Bama fans were braggin on Julio Jones and how he ran a 4.39 forty and jumped 11'3" broad jump...which is impressive. I would just LOVE it if Patrick Peterson ran a 4.2 forty so that I could shoot an email to brag on my guy.
I don't think he'll run a 4.2 40. No one ever does as well as they expect with the very precise timers they have at the NFL combine. I don't think he has the acceleration for it but probably would put in a good 100m time.
Stranger things have happened...like Laron Landry running a 4.35 40 yard dash a couple years ago. Totally shocked me because the dude was known for knocking out QBs.
Yeah, but how else is a safety going to knock out a QB unless he's quick. Safety blitzes are most successful when your safety can haul ace. But you're right....I was surprised, too.
