Non conference. If 'Bama doesn't win the conference championship, they won't even get a shot at.....oh, wait. Never mind.
Hasn't Sumlin had either Horgelson or Kingsbury at OC while he's been so successful? It'll be interesting to see what he's capable of without a top-flight playcaller. I'm not denying or questioning his coaching abilities, but his teams have put up a lot of points in systems that I don't think were really his.
Yes sir. Holgorsen left Houston as OC to take a one year gig at Okie State as OC. He was with Sumlin at TTU as well. (Kingsbury player under Leach, then coached under Sumlin at Houston and A&M.) Sumlin went with Co-OC's for the fall. One of them, Spavital (sp?,) has worked under Sumlin, Kingsbury, and Holgorsen. McKinney he brought from Houston as well: RB and recruiting coordinator. I'm not sure who is calling plays.
Anytime an OC comes and goes, it's pause for thought. In that we're all pretty much guessing about TAMU's encore through the SEC, I'm wondering about entitlement issues. #2 gets a lot of special consideration and as a QB and perceived leader, that has got to have a negative effect on team. The last thing College Station has been this off season was quiet.
Pretty much a given, LSU's new OC is an upgrade. Les is starting to give off that Tommy Tuberville ability to pick and delegate coordinators. I wasn't sure he had it in him. The Tigers are going to be the same old menace in the west.
FIFY.......I know, that one was too easy. Les had his man with Krags, it was set up. Some of the folks at A&M thought Krags was coming back there. This was to be the best team Sherman was to have, this past years team.
Well, Studrawa has gone back to what he does best on the O-Line. With the talent returning , it should be a better unit. No Ford or Ware and Hill remains a mystery, so running back by committee seems logical. It's Chavis that has his hand's full, especially early on. That is the one guy that has earned his money every place he has been. You give him talent and he delivers.
Great move with Studs going back. Blue was the guy I said from day one had NFL talent. Magee from WR to RB, that year at WR should help. Jeryl Brazil is the guy I want to see on the O side of the ball.
You just like to watch speed with the rest of us. Breaking Trindon Hollidays sprint records has got y'all salivating at the possibilities. If Blue is back to normal, I agree. He definitely was the running back with the most NFL potential before Jeremy Hill. Learning from recent experience, it's great to have a mismatch at receiver. Without Cooper we don't win it all. It will be interesting to see if Beckham takes the next step under Cameron's new approach to the forward pass. Looking forward to the SEC games to begin.
