I love how you have to be in a designated camp around here. The Hater - You hate Miles and want him fired above all else. Any positive thing he does angers you because you want to be mad at him at all times and you want everyone else to hate him too. You can't wait to pounce on anything little thing you can find to blame him for. LSU football is miserable for you right now. The Pumper - You back Miles no matter what he does. But much more annoying is that you attack anyone that is not positive 100% of the time. You use irrelevant stats to prove your point like, "he averages 10 wins a year" while people are discussing offensive productivity. You think that anyone that criticizes the coach is not a true LSU fan and that they just don't get it. I propose a 3rd party: The fan that praises a coach when he is successful and criticizes when he falls short. This fan acknowledges that the LSU head coach gets paid a exorbitant amount of money to do his job and that that job is put the best possible product on the field every week, every game, every play, all season long. If he ever misses that mark, then this fan has no problem with him taking heat for it. It's the job, he signed up for it and he gets compensated more than fairly to do it. This fan is 100% behind the football program, the University and the student athletes no matter how successful or unsuccessful the team is.
I am sorry, but you got it all wrong... Haters: Love LSU, but always fail to bring facts to the table, rather, OPINIONS and phrases like " LSU's O sucks" leaving little to no room for conversation. Pumpers: Always look to the bright side, but recognize the faults of the team. Can look past the crap to see where improvement was made or not made. Sometimes even the smallest things can give us hope, and at the end of the day, we are PRO LSU!!
The only problem with the so called realist party is that most get lumped into the pumpers catagories. This is only due to the haters put them there, because in the realist tigers posts there is an element of positive and hope, thus you are a pumper, even if you are being rational. But since you aren't calling for Miles head, you are a pumper.
Example of a conversation between a sunshine pumper/realist and a negatiger. SSP – Nice win. I’m a little concerned about xyz, which needs to improve, the abc looked really good and has shown much improvement over last yr, and bottom line we won. NT – what are you talking about didn’t you see how poorly the xyz was, the abc, the coaches suck, yes we won but it was against xyz cupcake, this team would do that on talent alone, Miles hasn’t and can’t coach the players up like abc coach and needs to go. SSP – I agree xyz needs to get better, but there was improvement over the last couple of games and you can’t fire a 10+ win/season coach. We won the game against a pretty good abc team. Right the players could just go out there and win 8 games/yr without being coached up. Who do you propose we replace Miles with. NT- It’s more than just w/l, the direction of the program is going down the tubes, we are losing players at an alarming rate, the team hasn’t shown any progression, xyz looks the same as it has the past 2 yrs, these players are being wasted on this team with these coaches, Miles needs to go. I don’t know who to replace him with but anything is better than him, he is no xyz coach, now that is a great coach look what he has done with abc. Miles only won with Sabans players and as soon as they were all gone the program has been downhill ever since. SSP – Look the team looks better, but still needs improvement in some areas, but bottom line is we are winning. You can’t just go out and fire a coach that is winning. I’ll be the first in line when the time comes that Miles really has this program heading down the tubes. NT – when will that be, after we are winning only 5-6 games, like this team is going to do this year. Miles has lost this team and can’t coach. Recruiting is already suffering as these players are watching talent wasted and this team keeps playing as horribly as they are. SSP – what are you talking about, Miles recruits with the best of them and with the talent we have and keep getting recruiting isn’t going to suffer. To say that shows just how stupid you are. NT – you’re a fanboy idiot who doesn’t know what you are talking about. Ever since Saban, I love Saban, I want to have Sabans child left Miles has destroyed the Tiger program. SSP – look asshat, Miles maynot be the best there is, but he is winning, ugly or not, and is the best representative for LSU there is. Again who would you replace Miles with, Saban ain’t comin back. NT – look dumb ass, you wouldn’t know football if it hit you in the face. I was a coach of blah blah blah and I know football. Mile sucks, besides have you heard him talk, he sounds like and idiot and what is up with that hat. What a dumb ass. He has to go now. SSP – I’m done with you, you are a hater and probably a troll from some other school and not an real LSU Tigers fan NT – I have been a Tiger fan for xyz yrs and lived thru the dark ages, I just see Miles taking us back down that road, and he needs to go now, before he takes us there. SSP – If Miles truly starts to take us down that path, I will be one of the first in line to help find his replacement. NT – That will be too late and the program won’t recover for 100 yrs.
