So here is the big question, If you are the captain, do you put Tiger on the Ryder Cup team? I say it isn't even close. You don't even let him near the team, I wouldn't even call to tell him he didn't make it. Dude has got to get his feces in sequence.
Agreed. I would give a hungry guy who is currently hot a shot. Tiger is just not Ryder ready this year.
If I'm not mistaken he has a poor Ryder cup record anyway. I'd go with a Bo VanPelt or someone like that. Crazy ass Fred Couples hands down.
I saw last night on the golf channel that Pavin said he would invite Tiger to be on the Ryder Cup team, and Tiger said if he was invited, he'd accept. Looks like a done deal to me.
and apparently Jim Gray got really upset about it and got in Pavin's face because of it. So again I ask, if you are Corey do you pick Tiger with a CPT's pick if he doesn't qualify? Answer for me is still a loud and emphatic NO. He has never been that great of a Ryder cup player anyway and I might be able to beat him right now.
So you want Dustin Johnson, Ricky Barnes, Ben Crane, or Bo VanPelt? No thanks. I'll take a 75% Eldrick over those no names, with no Ryder Cup experience any day of the week.
It's not poor if you judge it based off other players. People say it is poor because they judge it vrs his overall records.. But I mean, since 85', Europe is up on the U.S. 8-4. The U.S. just hasnt had that great of a showing of late. Like in 2006, Won his singles, 1 of 3 Americans to win out of 12. Won 1 of the 4’s and 1 of the four-ball. 2004 he won about equal that of 2006. 2002 he didn’t do as great 1999 was probably his best 1997 was equal to 2002
Lets see, Bo Van Pelt 12th, DJ 13th, Ben Crane 14th, and Ricky Barnes 32. Damn straight I'll take em. Eldrick you say, oh hanging out around 84th. Lets see how this works out for Corey. Math is math my man and the numbers speak volumes. 2010 PGA Tour Stats - ESPN
