Tiger Woods Update- Tiger And Elin Fight Over... | Gather

Update. This does not surprise me. Given the duration and extent to the cheating, that would be hard to forgive and forget. I wonder if this is why Tiger played so bad this week and missed the cut, shot 79 today.

I think so. He can't be totally focused on golf with all that is going on.

The way Tiger played today, and yesterday too, is not the Tiger we're used to. He doesn't shoot 79s. He was hitting the ball all over the place today.

I think he should've waited to play after things were settled between him and Elin. It's only gonna get worse before it gets better.

I didn't get to see any of the coverage, but what surprised me is reading more than one article suggesting Tiger "mailed it in" yesterday afternoon on the back nine. If accurate, that's surprising.

Will be interesting to see how he performs at The Players next week.

Everything he hit was left and into trouble and he couldn't put a 2 foot putt into the Bay of Bengal. On one hole he succesfully drove a fairway bunker only to have the ball bounce off a branch back into that same bunker.

A man can only take so much before saying F it.

Yep he packed it in. He had a quote that said something like I just wanted to stay out of the way of the real golfers.

He must have been thinking about the zeroes in the alimony checks he's getting ready to start writing.

Yeah at one point on Friday (the round of 79) they said he was walking some 200 yards ahead of his playing partners, which is extremely poor etiquette when it comes to golf. His head was somewhere else obviously.

And then the 3 putt from 3 feet, just like he did at the masters. He never misses 3 footers, much less 3 putt them.

Between losing all that money to Elin (which she richly deserves) and losing the kids (or sharing them or whatever happens), it has to be weighing him down.

I don't know how he did it at the Masters. I don't think anyone else would have been able to pull that off.
