This week, it ranks as the most important game of all time. After we expose them with a huge win, it will just go down in history as another win against a top ten opponent in the greatest season of college football ever played by the greatest team to have ever played the game, the 2011, 14-0, Fighting Tigers of LSU!!!!!
the reason i rank it so high is you look at whats at stake. i mean can you think of anything bigger? i look at lsu ftbl history and do you remember a game we played at home where it meant so much to both teams? were no 1, unbeaten, arkansas is no 3(assuming this of course) the sec west title is at stake, the loser of this game is finished and the winner plays in atlanta for a trip to new orleans. arkansas is 10-1 yes but if they win this game they will clearly be good enough to beat uga and if that happens how can alabama stay ahead of them considering alabama lost a home game late and arkansas beat no 1 on their field!! the last regular season game of the year! also a 13-1 arkansas as sec champion will beat alabama in any scenario to new orleans!! so yes both teams have EVERYTHING to play for and thats what makes this game so big imo.
sugerlsu! i agree with you brother! im just writing this post because im getting fired up and i hope tiger nation is in full throat friday!! i remember in 03 how loud tiger stadium was vs uga and that game was nothing in terms of importance compared to this one! will we win? shhhhhhh!!! its barbecue time brother!!! but im hoping to see the same type of intense noise level this friday as we give this incredible team the kind of last home game sendoff they deserve!!! all of this years games have been not as exciting really because we were building up to this point and none of the teams we played were nearly as good as this one. were 11-0 for the first time in over 50 yrs and the noise level friday should be worthy of this team and the year weve had so far.
