im not advocating it for high school or college kids, but if you get paid to do something you should be allowed to take anything that makes you do your job better. You, me, congress, no one should have the right to tell people what they can and cannot do to their own bodies, especially if it helps them perform their job better.
I dunno. Kinda a contradiction here. I mean, you go to school to learn to get a good education and a good job. It's like, if you're wanting to be a professional athlete, you'd be juicing in junior high. That's kinda advocating it a little bit with that thought process.
yeah i guess you and mobius' point. what about for injuries? Do you think athletes should be allowed to use steroids if it helps them recover from an injury under a doctor's supervision?
Now you're trying to have your cake and eat it too. My opinion is that you should not be able to take anything that has long term effects to improve performance. I'm not sure about the side effects of HGH in limited quantities only when injured but I could be okay with that in the pros only (maybe college) if it is proven there is no longterm effect. Dosage would have to be monitored and if abuse up to unhealthy levels couldn't be detected then I'm against it. Like I said, the way I think about it is that i want my kids to have an opportunity to do anything they want without having to sacrifice their long term health to be competitive in the field they choose.
Wow. This guy was so concerned about T-Pimp's steroid use that he waits until his name is trampled in the media, becoming a saga, to bring this information to light. This shouldn't even be news anymore. Tiger screwed up and got caught, but he'll paying for it without anymore help from reporters or morally sound doctors.
So who pays for the heart or liver transplant? Some can't improve their performance to the level required to make big bucks. They're just left with their health ruined. Do you think the tax payers or care givers in the hospital should have a say?
