Yeah, we have a T1 line and use wireless cards to access the internet from the campus. It's a good system to those who are mature enough to use it the right way. I just keep Tiger Forums at the bottom of my taskbar and check it during "less taxing" classes...ie American History.
Yeah, a lot of people don't get it, but my thing is that you can sit on the internet all day screwing around, but your grades will reflect that. SJA is a college-prep school and if you're in all upper honors like me, there's not a lot of free time to screw around on the internet- get your work done, maybe check Tiger Forums in American History class or something.
I'm on the third floor in the rack, shhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, its 11:30 a. m. and I'm still sleeping. What ? Hatcher isn't a dorm anymore. The governor elect is conducting her transition here, GMTFOOH !
A feable attempt at humor on my part. I've been at home all day (to keep away from the phones) working on a report for a client and I am getting stir crazy.
We had dial up at my high school and that was only in the library. And you are right about having to able to balance messing around on the net and school work. I have to leave my apartment and go to the library to do any good studying. There are too many distractions at my apartment with the computer, TV, video games etc......
