In a sign of the times, Tiger & Buick are going to end their long term relationship at the end of the year. Somehow, I think Tiger will somehow find a way to manage just fine with that 8 million hit. http://sports.espn.go.com/golf/columns/story?columnist=harig_bob&id=3723104
At this point in his career Im sure Tiger is happier than anyone else that he no longer has to waste his time doing those ads. In an article talking about this move I read that a few years ago the average age of a Buick driver was 70! That is almost impossible to accomplish.
I imagine Mecedes would be happy to pick him up. Just in the recession, most are looking for ways to cut costs. Tiger will survive.
Tiger knows golf. Jordan knows basketball. Manning knows football. If I want to buy a car, underwear, or a television...I don't need an athlete to tell me what to buy. Half the guys in the NBA probably can't count to ten and half the MLB players don't speak English but for some reason Americans love their celebrity endorsements. :insane:
