holy crap. is this the dude that used to post here?
Didn't know that. I'm pretty sure it's the Drum Major that holds up a small poster board with the song names on it. I want to say it said "O-we-O" on the poster. That means the band is wrong too. Maybe the band knew we would get it wrong and changed it. If I am wrong, feel free to correct me. Neck is my favorite non-traditional song that the band plays. I love the dance, but old people are terrible at it.
The band did the Macarena once. It did not go over well. That same semester, in my speech class, someone picked the Macarena as their demonstration speech. After it was over, this band girl in the class calls out, "The tiger band did the Macarena at a game and got booed. It was the only time the band has ever been booed." Then she broke down crying.
I would think they expected people would break out in dance...I remember that game, me and my boys were like WA...DA...F*ck when they started playing it. It was pretty funny when the two milfs next to us started to dance though.
No better way to get pumped for the season than to watch and listen to the Tiger Band. They definately set the stage.:geaux:
The Drum Major does hold up signs with the song names, however "O-we-O" shouldn't have a poster unless they made one after taking the song away and bringing it back. It's part of the traditional sequence of songs played after a touchdown.
Well call me old school I guess. I didnt know what the song "Crunk" was so I you tubed it and listened to it. Frankly having heard the original. No I would prefer they DONT play songs where the lyrics are "Get Crunk in this Mother *#&$er, get stomped in this *#&#$er" etc Maybe its just me. But not a fan.... But of course its what the kids listen to. Of course I cannot cast stones since I listen to Slipknot and Tool.
