Tickets to football games

    It depends on the game. If he wants to come to a big time game (recommended), I'd use stubhub. if it's just any game (McNeese or someone else that isn't a big game) I think he can get tix at the stadium.

    It's not the best bet, perhaps, but it's a fairly safe one. Tickets are always available outside, not just from the scalpers. People who hold 5 or more season tickets often arrive with an extra or two. They are often too dignified to hold it up and try to sell it. But it you stand near the gates where the fat cats go in and ask them if they have any spares, you can often find a good one and it usually won't cost more than face value . . . especially if you'll take a single.

    Wear a T-shirt that says "I drove from Tulsa to look for a ticket" and walk around the tailgating area's. Some of those groups will have no-shows.

    Sometimes the school releases more tickets. We got ours online through lsusports.net site for the Arky game last year. it was about 2 weeks before the game. Face value, good seats.

    I've contacted the visiting team ticket office and gotten tickets. I don't care where I sit.
