Can someone please explain to me how the ticket scalpers operate? I was told that the SEC Championship game was sold out(like I always hear for big games). I went to the GA Dome and ran into several(African American males) with several tickets. I told them I needed 4 tickets and they sold them to me for $50 each... Where do they get the tickets? How are they making money?
You probably just got lucky. Some people will sell extra tickets dirt cheap to recoup a little cash and then the scalper turns a quick profit. Be careful though!...I watched four Ohio State fans turned away at the Superdome because their so-called authentic tickets were fraudulent copies. They lost mega bucks and still didn't see the game. (probably better for them in the long run :hihi LSU 38 OSU 24 :crystal:
I think he is implying that these gents did not appear to be Sales Managers for Stub Hub or any other formal ticket outlet. I believe they were "working" the streets of the LSU/ARK/FLA/OR games I attended also.
So, because they're black they are automatically eliminated as potentially "reputable" ticket brokers?
Not all the tickets get sold through the schools too…staff members and players get them…corporate sponsors get them…some are giving to 3rd party venders. All kind of ways those things end up circulation on the “black market”
As for players, they dont just hand them tickets and say invite who you want. First, they are usually allocated by Sr Jr etc etc, then the players give usually Dir FB Ops his names, they go on a sheet and that person goes to player pass entrance and MUST show ID and sign for ticket. That being said, I'm not sure how so many tics get to brokers so fast.
Is that relevant? Kappa Alpha, there are different ways. Here are some: Read more: How Do Scalpers Get Tickets? | eHow.com How Do Scalpers Get Tickets? | eHow.com
