Thursday Scrimmage

    I don't remember Tebow seeing the field that much at Fla. his frosh season. He saw it more than Shep has, but he didn't fumble or forget the play either. And Tebow was playing behind Leak, who was not a star caliber player. I'd like to see Shep some more, but not if he's not ready.

    Saban's still doing it at Bama. Stoops does it, Meyer does it. It looks like for some, everything Miles does is wrong right now.

    Using refs for scrimmages is pretty standard for the smarter coaches. The pointing out of lining up off sides is just because that was a big problem with what helped stall the offense in the UF game.

    What happened is this:

    Les: "Hey, Bobby. Bring your guys and come down to Baton Rouge this Thursday and referee our practice scrimmage for the bye week. I want you to pay special attention to the players lining up in the neutral zone. We'll grab a steak or something after and settle up over a couple beers."
