Game started out with alot of mistakes, dropped passes, bad down feild coverage and bad play calling.I myself thought the game was going to be ugly throughout but we are in a new season with a new head coach who as many of us watching from out tv's can see what is going on when things aren't looking well and knows how to make adjustments.Who-Dat!:thumb:
My thoughts... Saints were consistant and had winning record on the road. Colston is Amazing, next Jerry Rice of football if he keeps this up! Giants, What happened? They look horrible! No offense and I guess Tiki Barber is history?
Sean Payton discovered today he can win by mostly running the ball. Reggie has his first big game running the ball. Sean Payton, stop passing on every first down. Please. I think he knows now.
Despite a slow start, it turned out to be a great game. I am a bit surprised at how well the defense did. After NY's firs score, the Saints really shut them down. That has been the Saints' Achilles heal - particularly the rush defense. I hope the defense continues to improve. The offense really returned to life after last weeks poor showing. I only wish Henderson would have had the opportunity to make some receptions. I wasn't all that crazy about Peyon's decision to shut down the passing game with over 6 minutes left in the game, but I understand the decision. The worst part was all the dropped passes. All-in-all, a really great game on both sides of the ball. Now if Dallas will just lose tomorrow night.
Never thought I'd hear this in my life, but it's true. He sometimes goes to far beyond the norm. Good sign that he will adjust quickly without being too stubbon.
I said this a few weeks back, Payton is the first OC I have ever had to complain about passing too much. Just like you can become predictable running on first, the same thing can bite you passing too much. And without Horn being a reliable go to guy, you need to even be more balance running the ball. This was a great win because Bush has finally gotten his rhythm down running the ball. He had great vision today, and the plays where he knew he wasn't going anywhere he just stuck his head down and got 1 or 2 yards. Damn the dude is going places and the Saints can ride his back to a SB victory. He will eventually get to LT status, where you won't be able to stop him even if you try. It's only a matter of time. My favorite play was the run call on 4th down. Simply genius. Keep em off balance Sean.
