That's a bit picky after one game. The offense was still miles ahead of any Miles coach offense at any stage of any season.

From what I understand, the D-line of BYU was their strength.

Well they do have a 6'9" 285 pounder on that line.

That's not much of a compliment.

Wrong. it was only 14-0 due to penalties. We were dominating the point of attack and had to put the game away with guice and Williams first. Which we finally did.

If this was 44-0 like it should have been without the penalties then yes. Your feel for a game is terrible. Try to put your agenda aside and watch the game without it. It makes much more sense when you can figure out what's actually going on.

    That's skinny for a 6'9' lineman.

Getting the numbers of freshmen and redshirt freshmen in real game time last night was a great step in long term development in preparation for the SEC schedule. If/when the need comes, we'll have guys on the field with experience without that deer in the headlights look.

It also puts highly touted recruits on the radar, they now see if they're ready, they will play at LSU. Bodes very well for us in the future.

That Canada recognized that we could beat them with the run and not try to be too cute to show we could impressed me. That was what worried me about him when we hired him thought he would be too much razzle dazzle, feeling very good now.

Canada is still a run heavy OC, he just doesn't tip his hand and line up in the I-formation, run it straight at you and dare you to stop him. By using heavy formation shifts and misdirection, he keeps you guessing and off balanced.

I care about a 50-50, or at least something close to it. We need to avoid other teams being able to tee off on the run, as we have seen all too often in recent years. In the game against BYU, we started VERY run heavy well before we had a lead and BYU started giving up.
