Missing arguably our best player on each of the 3 levels of our defense, this unit is probably going to be better than last year. So much young talent getting to see action and they don't look like the lights are too bright for them. Exciting season from this unit. It's going to be a very dominating season defensively. We gave up 16 ppg last season, I predict that number is down to 13 which would put us into the top 3 in the nation most likely (probably number 1).
Where was Jackson? I didn't see him all night. At least his name never got mentioned. And he was supposed to be the punt returner but Chark handled it tonight.
Saw a lot new names playing ball hawk swarming defense with an attitude. Saw a d-line dominate the line of scrimmage. This defense is going to be filthy this year.
If this unit keeps playing stingy ball hawk all season long and the offense can iron out the wrinkles and start playing more efficiently and score points, LSU is going to be a tough team to beat. Playoff bound in a season or two might not be unheard of.
