QB- Jefferson played well, he was on the run alot but he moved around well. He still needs work on reading the D. Where was Shep???? I know the game probably didn't go the way Miles planned but he is a special player, and IMO should have gotten in on a few snaps. RB- KW had some very good runs, and I wish he would get more carries. Scott was disappointing to me, didn't seem to run that hard and the fumble. Oline- Now Miles said that he thought this was gonna be the best line since he's been here. I was very disappointed with the O-line. IMO the didn't block well at all, didn't give Jefferson enough time to read the defense, he was on the run all night. SEC defenses will give them fits this yr, but there is time for improvement, but its gotta be fast. WR's- TT is gonna have a break out year, and its about time. he was a stud tonight, and he is one of my favs on the team. Lafell also had a good game. Where was R. Randle???????????? Wasn't he supposed to be the Julio Jones type of player, and have the same kind of impact??? I really wish Miles could have got Randle and Shep in the game. D-line- very disapointed with the dline. Zero push, no pressure on the QB, they need to get better. LB's- Some good plays but some bad. I felt that the Wash. running backs were getting to the secondary WAY to much. IMO some plays it seemed that LSU was playing with the dline and the secondary players, no LB's. I don't know I need to see more. LOL CB's- Patrick PAterson haha is a BEAST!!!!! Jai needs to get better. did chad jones look a little chunky tonight?? WAY to much space allowed by the DB's to allow WR's to gain short yardage. The Chief- Okay, I remember when we all hated Bo after AZ st. and Tenn in 05, IMO this was different. He got a huge pass with Katrina stuff. Wash was increadible on 3rd down conversions. I hope bama fans arent right with his 3rd and long problems. haha I like the chief, I expect a huge improvement next week. Good first game. Lots of good things, but alot more to work on. I think many LSU fans are looking at the fact that Wash didn't win a game last yr. and the fact that Bama looked pretty good tonight. So, people are in panic mode. GEAUX TIGERS!!!!!!!!!!:tigereye:
I am worried about the same thing I was before the game.... Scott up the middle Scott up the middle wait Scott up the middle it didn't work last year and it isn't going to work this year when you play tough teams.... spread the ball around... there will be time and place to hammer them with Scott
Not panic for me, but its this ZOne crap I refuse to get over. It has not worked once. I'm in aw when i see it.
yeah, Downs did look good, but the front four just didn't get as much pressure as they should have. We were playing Wash. this game should have been like when we played Arizona a few yrs back.
I dunno if CJ looked "chunky"...but he looked like he'd make a hell of a bullfighter...OLE!...or a good pitcher. He didn't even look like a football player at all. - Patrick PAtterson was the truth. Thank God! - 3rd and Chavis makes me wanna scratch my eyes out! - The best OL ever...wasn't. - Charles Scott...is NOT Jacob Hester. - Alem dissapointed...sometimes. - LB's...inconsistant. - JJ pretty good...no ints. He needed someone to BLOCK!!! - TT...pleasantly surprised, but I'll be the one to say he did run the wrong route twice, and he had the drop. - Dickson...disappointed. - Punt returns...dissapointed. Why is CJ doing this again?? - Offensive playcalling...vanilla...and it almost cost us. There were several...including me...that thought La Tech would beat AU. La Tech would've beaten US tonight! Bama didn't look great, but beat a top 10 team at a neutral site...and their defense looks very good. Ole Miss remains to be seen. Point is, based on what we know so far, if it IS a 3 team race in the SECW, we ain't in that race. Locker is very good...but our tackling was embarrassing tonight. UF will KILL this defense...I mean rack up 400 yds on the ground...unless something is fixed but quick. A few folks said leading up to the game that if the offense was ahead of the defense, we were in trouble. The thing is, the offense wasn't good...and was still head and shoulders above the D. We are in BIG trouble if these problems aren't fixed ASAP...and that's a LOT of problems to fix. I didn't believe before the game that the travel would have that much of an affect. But now, I am sure hoping that had a bunch to do with it. Color me nervous...very nervous.
