Agreed. This guy thinks he's the hardest hitter in the game when he hits a 180 lb defenseless WR on a crossing route. Herbstreit emphasized a point like this on Gameday this past weekend. He said defensive players who make a hit 20 yards downfield are throwing big celebrations after the offense just got a first down. Hit someone in the backfield who's actually looking where they're going before you celebrate.
Kirkpatrick is over rated. Last year the pundits were talking about how sorry Bama's secondary was, and for some reason this year they are "awesome".
One game missed should not have removed T-Rex. He still has one of the best statistical lines out there. Not downplaying his mistake but that's a bit much to completely remove him after the year he's having. His stats through 7 games is a season...and sometimes a career for many others.
