Regrettably, what seems clear is that we will ride the JJ horse all the way till Armageddon, then, with us down 20 or 21 LM will put in Lee for the azz kickin of his young life. That will pretty much finish us off, except for Shep. I just cannot lose that vision. HWR
wasnt it lee a couple years ago against auburn where he brought us back for a win while making throws like john elway. but man, we ruined that version since we were unable to pull him when needed. i think we were in the hurry up most of the time. get lee in a no-huddle and let him get in rhythm --if possible. If he sucks and the pick 6's are flying, bring on the wildcat and RS. JJ looks done to me. So we have only 2 qbs on the roster and possibly have ruined both. thats unacceptable on many levels, namely just having 2 total. No room for excuses for a university this size and $$. Either way, Id likely sit JJ this week just based on what looks like a crappy disposition and an inability to complete a pass longer than a yard and a half. his worst throw was almost his 3rd pick right in the guys hands. if he was cursed like jlee he'd have multiple pick 6s as well. i guess we need to find out if jlee is still cursed. he couldnt throw 7 pick 6's in a season again if he was paid to. that much i know. I could maybe live with 4 from here out either way and lets say 8 picks.
Unbelievable. JJ has not lost a game for us this year and you act like he's flushed us down the toilet. If I was Miles I'd put this crap on a projector and let the team read it in a meeting. They'd all have a big laugh and a good ole time.
nah just for a game. i think hes done mentally but id give him a game to recover and evaluate him after. dude may need some time off to clear his head. just pretend he has the flu for a week. also, SF you get todays emmy for best drama.
Come on, SF. Three straight games without a touchdown pass? He's not winning for us. Special teams and defense are.
I wouldn't disagree with this, until I saw the replay of JJ's tantrums on the field with his receivers. I don't care if they dropped their pants and took a dump in the middle of their route, it is JJs responsibility to hold the offense together. And besides, when was the last time we made it through whole year without injuring our starting QB? We are just gonna throw JL in cold in the middle of the year, or a game on the line? Seems foolish to me, and Miles should know better.
You don't remember when Lee was QB do you? Like I've said a few times, let's put Lee in there and see what happens. I don't have a problem with that. But, don't expect anything different. Special teams and defense are our strength and games we win will be won by them. It's just the way it is. All I'm trying to do is to inject a dose of reality here.
I don't have any insight into what's going on off the field, in the locker room, or in practice, but here's what I see from 1,500 miles away. I suspect JJ is pissed because he's taking heat from the media, the fans in attendance at Tiger Stadium, and those of us on Internet message boards. In my opinion, most of it is deserved heat/criticism. The receivers are pissed because they aren't being thrown catchable balls. Too many passes at their feet, too many passes six feet over their head, too many passes three feet behind them. If any or all of my observations are accurate, Les better get it resolved ASAP. With all of the problems with the offense putting points on the board, the last thing we need is dissension on and off the field. My two cents from 1,500 miles away.
