I don't know. I didn't think they looked very impressive at all after watching them struggle mightily with Auburn yesterday for most of the game. And that was in Starkville. By NO means am I underestimating any opponent we face, but if we can't handle State at home then we have major, endemic problems.
Do i think Mississippi State is more talented than LSU, not even close. But recently we have a tendency to play down to our competition. And LSU has gotten through by the skin of their teeth in games with lesser opponents the past few years. It's almost like i know it's coming, we are going to drop one to some school we shouldn't, like Saban's UAB or ULM. It was nearly Tech last year or Troy the year before.
Miss. St. wouldn't be considered UAB or Troy or ULM. However to be fair, I can remember some recent campaigns where it would have been close. If it was true, as it's been explained to me many times on this forum, Miles doesn't lose to the "children of the poor" of college football.
Thanks for the tip.....I saw the cover and decided to just file it away, it sucked that someone had put there trash all over it, I guess that's what I get for "filing" it in the trash.
You're right, more lackadaisical play and failing to finish off opponents is going to bite us at some point if it isn't corrected. I was referring to how they played last night and the fact that they are also a young team in key areas. It's a game we should win, but I understand completely what you're saying.
Wait a minute, I liked your first idea better (something about birdcages) Must be getting close to gameday and everybody is getting ready to rumble. besides, I remember, It's really Ar-Kansas that bugs you the most.
Yeh I changed it. I dont even have a bird ;-) yes my neighbor and very close friend is a former razorback player and die hard hog fan. So that game for me is the biggest game of the year since it has not only SEVERAL wagers on it. Not money mind you humiliating things like flying a Razorback flag for a week. Plus its a whole year of bragging rights.
Well, then I don't blame you, you want to keep it realistic. What you describe with your friend, I get. All my kinfolk are from around State College. This is not the hiccup I want to see Bama endure this week. It will be the unfortunate gift that keeps giving, believe me.
