I thought he had his normal amount of designed runs, 3rd and Tebow was in full effect last night. He was putting his head down, he was runnng the option, he was trying to pick up yards when no one was open. If they had any reservations about Tebow getting hurt they wouldn't have played him.
This means that the play called in the huddle matched up well with the Florida defensive set and does not prove your point.
You can only run one play at a time. I suppose that you can add an "s" at the end of the word if it makes you feel better, but the only changed is the spelling of the word. The situation(s) remains(s) unchanged. Feel(s) better(s)?

Most of Tebow's runs are read option, just go to a Florida board and ask. He led the team in total number of rushes and I saw him tackled hard often but never saw him just fall into the line. 17 rushes is a lot for a QB, even Tebow. EDIT: this years Tebow totals....vs Charleston Southern 2 runs, vs Troy 13 runs, vs Tennessee 24 runs, vs Kentucky 16 runs and vs LSU 17 runs. Again, most of Tebow's runs are off the read option. He does have a lot of designed short yardage situation runs but by far most of his runs are read option .
I'm not so sure why people were so surprised at this game. This is the EXACT team we've seen all year. Defense gives up a lot of yards, but seems to be able to keep people off the scoreboard when they have to. Not a big fan of this, but it seems to be working for us right now and with our current personel. I can't help but think this, combined with our inept offense, is gonna eventually wear down this defense, but for right now, you have to be impressed with the fight this defense has. This defense didn't fight like this last year, so Chavis deserves most of the credit, IMO. The offense is horrible. I'm laughing right now at all the "we were holding back" arguments earlier in the season. We weren't holding back, we were and are horrible on offense. Bad game planning, bad blocking, bad QB play, bad everything. We have some speed and some possible play makers, but the QB can't get them the ball or we can't block well enough to get them the ball. We have no identity. What are we?? A running team? A passing team? The third thing, is I think this team is poorly coached. Even though we've played well on defense, it hasn't stopped us from stupid penalties. On offense, we really can't afford the mistakes because we have so few opportunities because we can't sustain drives. Anyway, that's it. Unless we improve drastically on offense, I see the defense wearing down later in the season and Alabama REALLY putting it on us. Of course, we could still win the other games and have a good, 2 loss season, but honestly, if we keep playing this bad on offense, I see, at least, 3 losses.
Yeah, you're right, Tebow was playing all out. He was his normal self. BTW, how many drinks did you have Saturday night?
