Maybe he was worried he'd meet us again this year?

I know most here are disrespecting our team, but perhaps, Urban Meyer thinks we're good enough to be in Atlanta in December. If so, why add fuel to the fire. He had the game won, though we all figured he'd kick a field goal because that's just the way he is.

Also--"First i would like to say, thank you John Chavis, i hope you make a permanent residence in Baton Rouge. The Defense looked amazing last night, and just as good as the Florida defense if not better. I would even venture to say that Florida's defense couldn't have contained their offense the way the Tiger D did last night. The linebackers and secondary, and front 4 played their asses off last night, and they deserve all the love and support from Tiger nation."

The holes in LSU's secondary made it painfully obvious that that side of the defense needs shoring up. The same play up the middle for yards almost every time, and the inability to get ahold of Tebow are a cause of concern. It's like he had "Shields up", because he continued to evade and or/deek LSU frequently when they got close.
Also, the continuous running of the option play has been noticed and defended against by opponents. It's old news, particularly against the short side of the field. There's no creativity in the play calling. What happened to the offensive play calling from Matt Flynn's day? Are they saying to this team, "You can't handle that stuff'? They need to let Jefferson be the player he was during the Chick-Fil-A bowl. It's like there is fear to let the offense find itself. Hold them back, and that's how they'll play.

Your D was amazing. Give it to Bama so we can play again. It was a heavyweight fight last night. Tebow obviously wasnt fully back to normal as far as skills last night(a lot of that due to your D but some of it from limited practice and how he said himself after the game he played it safe) I think Florida as a team will vastly improve over this as will you guys. Hopefully we can play again in December.

Thanks for the kind words FightinGator, but we have major problems on offense to fix before we are even ready for the next game. We shouldn't even be talking about the SECCG at this point. The Tigers need to take it one game at a time and start making at least baby steps forward on offense or Atlanta is out of the picture.

you can go somewhere with this ****. Our D did hold them to 13 points. They ran their offense, and Tebow had many designed QB runs, Tebow was throwing himself head first, so i am not buying that Florida played conservative bull crap because Tebow was injured. They played conservative because our back 7 is one of the best in the nation, and that is how you have to play them. Our defense did give up little chunks of yards here and there every once in a while, but you better recognize. Florida did what they did on offense as a result of a staunch LSU defense. So you can throw the line under the bus all you want, but i think they gave a great effort against a proven, and veteran offensive line in Florida, and some shifty backs.

Huh... I disagree and I think you're deluding yourself a bit. Florida held back because of Tebow and because there was no threat from our offense to score. I'm not saying we didn't do anything good on defense, we did, and looked mighty fine at times, but tell me how many three and outs Florida had, if you could.

We matched their speed to the corners. THAT in itself was impressive.

None, and how many punts did they have last night? One...

The defense played good but if you think Florida was letting it all hang out that is really not what happened. Tebow had a few designed runs but nowhere near the norm for him and almost none in the first half. it was obvious they were playing a little tentative and conservative.

I don't think Teblow ran it any less than usual, he ran it a bunch. However I do think Florida played it close to the vest once they saw that LSU's offense was impotent.

EDIT: Tebow ran the ball 17 times.

Your O was also stymied by our D so don't blame it all on your O. Both of our O's played tough D's and both of our O's need work. It could be worse
