A post that I can agree with. I feel LSU had no leadership from players after the Bama loss and without that leadership they lost their sprit.
Yeah, but who's fault is that? You don't go into the tank because you lost 3 games you might have lost anyway. A 3 loss LSU team is still in a New Year's Day bowl game. They had a hell of a lot to play for and instead of coming together and taking it out on two overmatched teams, they went into the tank and got beat by both. And, I love it how the offense still gets the blame. The pick 6s demoralized us, huh?? Then I don't want those guys on my team. How many bad situations did the offense put the '03 team in?? Great defenses bail their offense out. Everyone knew coming into this season that this team would go as far as our defense would carry us. Instead, our defense has been a bigger disappointment than our offense. Except the Alabama game, the defense has played like a bunch of stiffs.
I don't think you quite understand what he's talking about. From my perspective, LSU played its best game of the season against Alabama and came up short. Unfortunately, when players know they gave 100% and still lose, that is an easy predictor of future tankage.
I agree. I feel like the season would've ended differently had we pulled out that game. It took the remaining life out of the team--and the fans, for that matter. I'm sure the "mystique" of Tiger Stadium, for example, was missing greatly for the Troy and Ole Miss games. Look at Alabama last year. They mirrored what our team just did--except that we miraculously pulled out a victory against our ULM, which was Troy.
Say what you want and i just may be a believer in nonsense, but it didnt help that none of the CBS games EXCEPT UF at the swamp were at Night. Death Valley is a different place at night.
I agree with you. First of all, CBS is getting old (same with Verne) and I can do without Danielson. Second, we need more night games, especially vs SEC opponents. :geauxtige
