I don't care what anybody says as a retort to this thread, I consider this a losing season. If we didn't have 4 creampuff rent-a-wins, this would be a losing season in overall record ala schedules in the 80s. Let this sink in 3-5 in SEC games. This also includes a loss to a 5-7 team to wrap up this wonderful season. Hell we almost lost to one of our rent-a-wins. I don't like being negative but come on this is an utter embarrasment of a season. We lost 5 times on CBS three in blowout fashion.

What needs to change beside the DCs, because I think this problem is a little deeper than that. I see players making gestures to the sidelines that question the authority of the coaching staff - Byrd is one that consistently does this. Players celebrating big hits on plays 12 yards down the field or after being down by 21 points - ala Harry Coleman. Players committing stupid penalties and not afraid of the coaching staff and trying to explain. Can you imagine the fury from a previous coach if those two penalties would have occurred.

This team has become selfish "me first" attitude players that I have little respect for. The chemistry on this team is terrible and the coaches are to blame. The team comes out flat and plays with little intensity to start games. The attitudes displayed by this team does not make me proud to be an LSU Tiger. I hope that the coaches and players take a look in the mirror and come out better in the bowl game and next season.

If we didn't committ a few "boneheaded" penalties we'd have 1 more win, if we had given JJ some earlier snaps, and didn't give up 6 pick 6s we'd have another 2 wins above that... so realistically we should have a 2 loss season.

I've been saying that for three months. The problems go deeper than two inept coordinators.

What is sad that is our only victory against a team with a pulse. The rest suck.

Actually you're close but a little bit light on that prediction. My personal belief is that we were 3-4 pick six's away from being 11-1. After the UF loss this team still had hope and fight in it, after UGA loss, caused partially by 2 pick six's, this team still had fight in it, but after the Bama loss, once again caused partially by pick six's, this team lost all its fight. Had we won those games, instead of giving them away, I believe we would have beaten Ole Miss and Ark.

Had the spirit of this team not been lost after the Bama game, I believe the season would have been much different. Just my thoughts.

It makes me sick to my stomach to think about this season and, at the same time, have a picture on the side holding last years national championship trophy.

Definitely need to keep all the prospects we have on board and add Randle, Loston, ****/*****DLmen, ****/*****LB and an aggressive defensive coordnator with proven track record. Also, the conservative play calling when the game was on the line was really disappointing. JJ showed he could be the man. We could line up Shepard anywhere and everywhere and see where that goes. We have too much talent to have 5 losses with so few quality wins. Attention to detail (ie tackling, dropped passes) has to be emphasized.:geaux:

We have lost 7 games in the last 2 years. We were [unbelievably] lucky that the votes went our way after the Arkansas loss last year. But at that time, Coach Miles still had everyone fooled into believing that he actually had something to do with our success...

Hey Bama Troll, Alabama has lost 6 games over the past 2 years. What does that mean?

What is really disgusting is that LSU could be 0-12. If you take away all the touchdowns passes our QB's through and turn them into interceptions and take away all the touchdowns our RBs scored and turned them into fumbles we would have lost every game. Unacceptable.
