    Come on people!

I know everyone, including me, is frustrated with Lee, but he's a freshman. And he's obviously making freshman mistakes. But as great as RS seems to be, he will also make freshman mistakes. And there is no way Miles wants to go through that again.

I think they will use RS the same way Florida used Tebow in his freshman year....not count on him to throw much and be used more for his running ability. Lee and JJ will compete for the starting job.

Besides folks, if Les doesn't get the defense fixed, it won't matter who the qb is.

Don't criticize the man's hatred of Auburn.

You just like everyone else, including the coaching staff have no clue who or who will not be the starting QB next year. The odds are that he will not, but he has better odds of starting than any true freshman QB in the history of LSU football. Partly because he is really good, but mostly because no one has come close to stepping up and claiming the job yet. Unless Lee shows massive improvement leading up to his third year in the program Jefferson and Sheppard have a legitimate shot.

You need to change the title to say wont start at QB.

Because according the an interview Sheppard did, he does not want to redshirt and wants to help the team in ANYWAY possible, in his own words "If I cant start at QB, then put me in at DB, WR anywhere...I just want to help LSU win"

good call Crip! I didn't know about the interview, but i'm impressed with his attitude. Plus that's the sound of a true leader, which we need.

Shepard is coming in January, will work really hard to prepare himself to make an impact for the 09 season. In whatever way that means.

He will get snaps at QB and will be trouble for DCs to defend.

Be prepared to get wowed by this young man.

If Lee is still throwing pick 6 passes by game 3 of the season, Shepard will be next year's Terrelle Pryor. Lee will be Boeckman.
