Take this dudes sperm, that 100 year old WW2 badass that just jumped out of a plane, combine it, and create a superhuman.
Bad ass cop, but I see a major flaw in his judgement. At 4:15, the moment he takes his shot(s). He's firing across 6 lanes of interstate, and at the moment he fires, you can clearly see a car on the opposite side of the road passing from right to left. Very risky shot in terms of making sure no innocent bystanders are in the line of fire, imo. Glad it worked out.
Yes, he got the bad guy, but a cop's duty is two-fold: get the bad guy and protect the good guy. If you hurt the good guy in the process of getting the bad guy, you haven't done your job. In this case, no good guy was hurt, so good on him. Now if I'm not mistaken, any matter in which an officer fires his weapon is investigated internally, and deciding if no innocent bystanders were in danger is part of that procedure. I hope this is determined to be a good shoot. And it may be that the angle of the body cam doesn't accurately portray how close the oncoming traffic really was. Just saying, based on the video, the decision to fire across six lanes of interstate traffic is dicey to me.
