yes, but they favored the wealthy. there were tax cuts for middle class also but the bulk of the tax cuts went to the wealthy....think capital gains tax being reduced from 30% go 15%, cut in half.
I have already detailed for you why keeping more of your money is not always good. You tell me why it is good and give me some empirical evidence to support what you are saying. I took all of my figures from either the Bureau of Labor and Statistics or the Bureau of Economic Analysis so you are welcome to fact check me if you like.
So you need evidence to keep something that is already yours? Not following. You have shown ZERO evidence why or what raising taxes will do. Yea, you've talked about some Bill Clinton shit, but that was close to 20 years ago when he took office.
Taxes are the price of citizenship in this country and all countries. if you want to keep all your money, then find a country that will allow you to do it. Good luck with that. Adios!
Pride, I discussed, in great detail, the merits of higher taxes and even the merits of tax cuts, when the time is right. I will not rehash it for you, go back and read it for yourself. You asked for proof and I gave it to you, now it is your turn to prove me wrong and provide some evidence to support your arguments.
Pride, I have told you this many times before my friend but because I like you so I will repeat it just this once: RIGHT NOW we should raise taxes on those who are in the highest income bracket: those who make more than $372,000 per year. This should be implemented as a part of a larger deficit and debt reduction package that includes spending cuts to major entitlements and defense as well as some discretionary spending. Part of that package should include a plan to raise taxes on everyone else as we reach economic benchmarks in gdp and unemployment. Raising taxes right now and planning to raise taxes on everyone else later on is good because it will help to balance the federal budget, reduce the deficit and debt and as a result of these the market will gain confidence. As soon as congress can pass a comprehensive deficit reduction package you will see businesses start spending and investing again.
Cool, to bad Obama has never said shit about this. He keeps talking about fair share bullshit. But remember, congress wont pass shit b/c all republicans hate gays, women, and are obstructionist. Good luck with all that.
