Figured some humor among all the DC threads (Well this isnt funny) In my neighborhood LSU vs Arkansas has a ton of meaning My good friend and neighbor is as passionate about the Hogs as we are about LSU. Each year we put a nice wager (no line) on the game. Usually Dinner with wives, bragging rights, and most importantly humility. This year although LSU was horrible I was pretty confident Arkansas was worse. We upped the ante where the loser had to fly the others flag for one week. This "walk of shame" was done literally as Davids miss FG was still rolling around. This was a tough one to swallow. This is what happens when LSU loses to Arkansas. To me the Golden boot has a great deal of meaning.... Thought I would share my misery. Notice me taking down the LSU flag and putting up an Arkansas flag. WE MUST WIN NEXT YEAR I CANNOT TAKE ANOTHER YEAR OF THIS. LES ARE YOU HEARING ME THIS IS SERIOUS BUSINESS !!!!! What a horrible experience......
Who cares about the bet? Look at your freaking house! At least that Arky logo is more fierce than toonces. :hihi:
the last 2 yrs on my way home from the game i always expect someone to flag my house ... its prolly good for someone that they dont b/c whenever i get about 30-45 min out i start to get that feeling ... i would honestly feel sorry for anyone who did this ... my first kid is prolly going to be born in this armpit of a state - i have talked about racing down to the state line if at all possible just to keep my kid a true louisianer ... prolly going to have to try and "time" it just right try not to make it obvious to my wife
TexasTiger, Are you in San Antonio? My family and I just moved from there to DC. We lived in the Stone Oak area in the Mesa Grande subdivision. The houses look strikingly similar.
Hopefully you burned the flag when you took it down and put your LSU flag back up. By the way, how about a picture of the LSU flag flying proudly now? It would make the thread look better.
