Not to split hairs, but it was going to be 4th and forever. The penalty came after the 3rd and 29 play, when Petrino waived the white flag and ran a draw.

What I'm saying is that the play was over. It was now 4th and forever. And the idiot got the flag.

the 90's weren't that long ago.

    • Wanna see a worse defense? see '98 and '99 seasons
    • Wanna see worse QB play? see Booty's sophomore year ('99 if I remember right)
    • Wanna see the worst ever single game performance by any human being in the history of football at any level ever played? see Brian Sparacino's gem vs Bama in '96

I'm not quite sure about that. In 1999, LSU held Arkansas to 10 points and Miss State to 17. In '98, Miss State (they were ranked at the time) scored 6 points and Auburn scored 19.

    What's significant about that?

LSU only held South Carolina (in SEC play) to under 20 points this year.

This defense could very well be worse than Lou Tepper's masterful schemes.

did Tepper coach that last game against Arky? I don't remember.

Just remember getting blown out by Auburn, Florida, Kentucky, Ole Miss, HOUSTON
