I kept waiting for Miles to jump down the throat of the players committing boneheaded penalties. I don't know how he stays so calm after those penalties. Maybe it's just me but I'd chew some heads off. While I do think we'll get this thing back on track, the lack of discipline of Mile's teams bothers me.
This "undisciplined team" has been evident all year. The stupid celebrations and unnecessary hot dogging have been the mentality of this team.
Lee knows three plays... 1. throw it to the other team 2. hand it off 3. stare down one guy. I'll take JJ. If JJ had played more than Lee, we may not be in such a bind.
We have one more game,, sadly. I'm seeing flashbacks to Kentucky when stupid penalties cost us ANOTHER game. Remember the Tyson Jackson karate chop?
There are problems, but you have and the ref have that call wrong. They called celebration on a player who kicked the ball as he came down - not the player who blocked the pass - it should have been a delay of game. But there were other mistakes that a team at this level should not make. All that said, our defense gave Ark their last two scores. Not to mention the missed tackles, trying to roll under a receiver rather than tackle him, not playing through hits like our team did last year. It seems the defense is missing the fire it had last year. Actually it started before the end of last season - not sure why. Lets see what Les and company do about it. ldskule:
It better! Les has to realize this just has not worked. Especially after this debacle today... Plus, what about Alem kicking the damn ball? What's with that? :geauxtige
The offense was okay. You can't really expect too much more out of a QB starting for the very first time. At least he didn't turn the ball over...way more than we could have said about Jarrett Lee. This is all on the D and (hopefully ex...)Co-DCs. The drive with 42(?) yards of LSU Penalties and the last Arkansas drive which was a complete and utter fail. Poor tackling, mismatches, confusion, disgust. I tell ya, I would be happy to see a fan or Les himself take the two DCs and throw them off the top of the stadium.
