I think a lot of the perceptions of Bama and LSU will always boil down to the aura of invincibility that Saban and the sports media have cultivated, compared to the portrayal of Les as the goofy "mad hatter" who talks funny. When Bama wins games, it's because Nick yells and screams and gets in his players' faces and runs his team like a machine and destroys the competition. When Les wins it's because he's lucky, and the luck is bound to run out soon.

I don't get the hype about Saban.

I mean .. .the dude goes into premier schools, where winning is an established tradition, and the name itself lends to great recruiting ..... and has some success. And then the Media act as if Bama has never been a powerhouse school before Saban. As if LSU was never a powerhouse school until Saban.

Saban didn't light up the stadium at MSU ... and to be honest with you, he didn't exactly light up the stadium at LSU either. We did squeak out a NC in 2003, only to finish 9-3 in 2004 and a loss in the Cap Bowl to Iowa.

He didn't do so hot at the Dolphins ... why not!! I though he was the greatest coach to walk the face of the earth. It's because he's not the best thing since sliced bread when it comes to coaching. He's not a football genius .. otherwise, he'd a done better in Miami.

Saban is nothing more than a good CFB coach, who lands himself in good schools, then takes all the credit for them being great.

What a CROCK!

I'll take our eccentric, grass eating, funny hand clapping, crazy eyed mad hatter over Saban anyday.

I can't figure ouy how you guys think fl is going to score on us. If they get lucky they could hit one long pass and get one special teams score. I said this last week and I say it again, the real question is will their offense outscore our D and special teams.
