LSU desperately needs a "Coker" at QB to run Les's archaic I-Form. (A smart 5.2 40 "statue" drop back pocket QB that can throw the short/medium range passes with accuracy and touch, read defenses, go through progressions and manage the game.) We don't need an athletic "Spread" QB trying to run that Offense and whom has to have the OC down on the sidelines to hold his hand and go to the little boys room with him! In the 48 continental states, why is one so hard to acquire......................
Least they're consistent in their excuses. I could care less about the avg for/against or the face to face tugging. It's the jerseys going in opposite direction after beating their man I take issue with.
Believe what you want gump. The calls all year have been horrible. They are just always horrible against you guys.
LSU was 12th most penalized team in the country, 97, most of any sec team and 794 yards. Bama was 2nd with 87 and 814 yards. 33rd overall. not sure where each stands in sec play. but keep in mind we run about half the offensive plays as an average team. which is where most penalties come from. imagine if we ran an offense we would definitely be 1st. luckily for this stat, we are running out the clock from the first snap on.
I would bet that most of those penalties on Alabama were PF's and Defensive holding or pass interference. I would be willing to bet very few of them were for holding on offense.
i think thats the discrepancy we see when watching the actual games. most teams seem like false start and holding. im doubting thats bamas top ones. holding, which is the most fickle of all the flags, surely is less against the intimidating midget.
Holding on LSU prevented Leonard Fournette from being the 1st SEC tailback to ever rush for 2000. And in 2 less games than the Heistman. Was nice to hear Jessie Palmer say that mixed in with his other bland material. I still haven't seen Alabama get a holding penalty on a run play, but I see fistfuls of jersey every time I watch them play.
