This is truly disappointing. Expected to log on this morning and read some good threads about the game and most of what I see are people arguing like 2 year olds. The people who have been down on Miles strongly trying to defend their position and the people who are pro-Miles, for the most part, saying "I told you so." Fault lies on both sides. The people who have been negative are nit-picking the game to death. All you should have expected is improvement and you cannot deny that you saw that. Now, hope for the same from here on out. If you're looking for perfection, you will always be disappointed, hell, even the sportscasters who where highly critical last week are giving Miles props. He deserves a little credit here. And for the pro-Miles group, you won, don't gloat, it only weakens your position. You're not going to convert people, only Miles and the teams performance can do that. And starting threads like "Don't jump on the bandwagon" or whatever that was makes you look less confident in your position. Old words of wisdom, when you are in a fight with your spouse, (and we argue like married people on this site) at the point you realize you are right, apologize immediately.....
Spoken like the true Miles basher that you've showed recently. You personify what you criticise. I think there is a lot of much healthier discussion occuring now than last week. I was certainly happier that a better Tiger team showed up. And I doubt words of wisdom come from your keyboard.
What does this even mean? Won what? The only people who won anything are the dudes who rode the plane back from Gainesville with big azz smiles on their faces. Is this a football forum, or FSA? The football team deserves better than what the fans are giving them. :geaux:
“Blessed are the peacemakers, for they shall be called sons of God." Matthew 5:9 "But love your enemies, do good to them, and lend to them without expecting to get anything back. Then your reward will be great." Luke 6:35
Bandit, I consider you one of the more intellectual poster here, but I'll spell it out. This forum, all the posts, are debates about whatever....they won the debate, not the game. The arguments were regarding the competency of Miles and I think last nights performance should have relieved some of the doubters... evidently not.
After the absolute vitriol of the last few weeks - especially last week - I have no problem with Miles supporters pushing back a little. Most of it is in good fun.
BINGO Most of us have no problem with criticism or griping about the team when its deserved. But the negativity has been way over the top and frankly its damaging the program. Ridley talked about the "crazy negativity" of the fans last week. Les referred to it on national TV yesterday about not being liked at 5-0. The Wall Street F*ing Journal of all places had an article about the negatigers. To the thread starter: the sentiment of your post is good. But I'd say this is less like an argument with your spouse, and more with your bratty know-it-all teenager.
