I think Lee is playing good football this season so far. I still think he has issues with his mechanics that inhibit how good he could be. His mechanics hold him back from being a really good QB and that has nothing to do with sitting the bench for 3 seasons or only having his 5th start in quite a long time. I am not crazy about the 2 QB concept. However, it has been my OWN contention, since watching JJ and JL for the last 4 seasons, that they both are better QB's off the bench than they are starters. I want JL to continue to start and play the entire game, IF he is doing well and leading the team. However, we are hitting SEC play and I am not sure how JL will hold up under heavier waters, that's all. It is my opinion that Miles will find a way to get JJ some snaps every game. It could work out well and could also spell disaster, we will just have to wait and see.
Twisted i get that he is the starter. In my post i didn't dispute that. I was just giving reasons why he should and will remain the starter.
Thank you! I posted that earlier, but apparently my font size wasn't big enough. Maybe it will take this time.....
Ya know .... I didn't read any post past this one ... but in case someone else hasn't said it already ... I'll say it. You're Full of Crap!! Jlee's mistakes as a freshman were just that .... inexperience, etc. At no point since then has he been allowed to "break through" as you call it .... until .. NOW! And I'll say he's breaking through quite nicely. So what .. he throws off his back foot. So what .. he may throw a int here and there ... ALL QBs do. He's thrown to sevreal of the second and thrid reads .. so the accusation that he's starring down his receiver is yet another case of being "Stuck on Stupid". If CLM let's Lee happen this year, without bringing in any distractions of JJ, I can see a fantastic year at the end, stats and all, that make the negatigas eat crow about him. I still say that Lee should have been allowed to "replace" JJ last year, as opposed to the rediculous 2 QB garbage that did not benefit Lee or JJ. As for this being all Krag ... I don't agree. All I've read is how they work on some footwork. I'm sure Krag has done more for Lee than just footwork, but one has to remember, Lee took over as the second string QB .. and played GREAT! I doubt real seriously that Krag was devoting tons of time to Lee prior to that start, being as JJ was going to be the starter. Some of you are just going to have to man up and admit .. JLee has Matured, he's not the same snotty nosed kid he was in 2008. And, IMO, his improvement has been more the result of him growing up and becomming a smarter player ... emphasizing his strengths ... most importantly .. his strength as a LEADER!
sorry, different thread. there have been so many about this same topic all day today I got them mixed up.
