This is Jarrett Lee's offense. He got us to #1.

We've had more drops by our players than drops by other teams DB's. Way more. Look in the SEC, Int to Td ratio, Lee is doing very well.

JL is a fine QB and is doing well in this Studthorpe Offense. However, his bad habits as a QB (throwing off back foot, staring down the WR he is going to throw to, not utilizing secondary receivers, immobility, Happy feet when pressured) are still there. I am 100% fine that he is our QB and proud he is doing well............ but I still hold my breath when he throws the ball. I think JJ has talent, but was not talented under Crowton's Offense. I believe that JL will continue to be the starter and JJ will play 2-4 series per game (maybe not this week unless we are really ahead), and I think he can be effective. He throws the ball downfield pretty well and should be more successful in this offense than Crowton's. We are about to hit the meat of our SEC schedule and we will see if JL has truly worked through his past problems at QB or not. My gut feeling tells me that we will need a #2 QB to play some and be an active part of winning games......... much like Lee was last season.

I can't imagine jj saying anything constructive like that. I can imagine him pouting that he didn't get his starting job given back to him on a silver platter.

No question JL still has room for improvement through this season and things to work .........Think he will continue to get better with increasing game experience and confidence.

Les has handled everything well over the years. Kids just wants to play football. They want to win them all.

Everyone make mistakes, its where you go from there that makes the person.

None of us are in the locker room to know how JJ acts around the team. There's a lot of hate out there from the fans towards JJ. Besides being subpar in performance, he really hasn't earned the ire.

And about his subpar performance, we've seen lightyears of improvement from JL under Studthorpe. We honestly don't know if JJ might've been significantly improved, too.

Here is the problem with both JL and JJ: both have hit the ceiling of how good they can be. I do not think there is much more time for either to "improve" while they finish here at LSU. They both are what they are. They both have been in the system for a long time and IF they were going to "break through the ceiling" and really improve, they would have done it before now. They both have their particular skill set, advantages, and disadvantages as QB's, but I have not seen much improvement in either one over the last 4 seasons. Neither one has the skill set to be an elite SEC QB. That is not meant as a knock on either one of them or meant to sound like I am down on them as QB's. I like them and hope they continue to do well for our team this year and I think they are good enough to lead us to New Orleans (with the help of our Defense). However, I think JL is what we need, which is 15/28, 1 TD, 180 yds a game. Our QB's of the future, who can grow to elite SEC QB status are on the bench and will get their turns next seson.
