Bama is as fast as any defense in the nation. I hate them as much as the next Tiger fan, but you're absolutely wrong there.
That's an interesting stat but just because one team has more sacks than the other doesn't necessarily mean they're either faster or better. I think there's a lot more to it than that.
No, I love both of those stats. Just don't see how either measure speed. Total yards may be a sign of a fast defense and Bama has the edge there as well as points allowed.
Not sure I agree. This defense is a wrecking ball, but I'd like to see it go head to head with the 03 squad.
UHHHHHH NO....bama is NOT faster than LSU...bigger and more physical...yes but not faster.....not when you go position by position.
You cant.....you want to measure speed, check the team that gives up the most long td runs on defense ...thats a little better indication of closing speed. A fast teams may give up yards but make the tackles running them down.
Bama is a brusing defense that really lays the wood. I have seen the highlight reels and some real game time and bama's defense is knocking players out the game. They are the real deal. I'm not saying anything negative about lsu's defense. I'm just saying that bama plays very tough and has been hurting offensive players left and right. We shouldn't be comparing the two defense's aginst each other. We should be comparing how their offense will stack up aginst our defense and how our offense stacks up aginst theirs. That's the real question of the game. Can we keep them from scoring? Can we score on them? If we can't run the ball, play action won't work. No other team has ran on bama. Can lsu run on them? If we can, we will win. If they hold us to less than 100yards rushing, we probably lose.
