Some quotes from Les on how and why he did what he did.

"We had to throw the football," Miles said.

"We were not running the football. They were in a position where they outnumbered us in the run."

LSU's three passes allowed Swinney to save his timeouts.

"It's a tough thing to figure our pass protection was as poor as it was," Miles said. "That's the piece that needs fixing and frankly we've got some young players here we'll address and improve and make some strides going forward."

So you see they couldn't run and its the defense fault for losing the game due to poor pass coverage.

I think the reference to pass protection is on the offensive pass protection. I don't see where he is blaming the defense. At least he's acknowledging there's a problem that needs to be addressed. Let's all hope he does.

Asked what he would do differently on that possession, Miles frowned. "Call runs that get first downs. I don't know what those are," Miles said. "Call passes that we can protect our quarterback on. I don't know what those are, either."

This shit is getting old. Damn, I love the guy, but if we can't beat Climsin,,,dang. We have the ability but we don't have the imagination or creativity. It takes more than "atheletes" to win it all. So damn tired of this crap. Oh, last count 17 emails, all in my face from cousins (all Climsin grads). Of course, I may have been a bit strident after the first LSU TD. Happy freakin new year.

Much to do about nothing. Until I see Stud and a good bit of the offensive coaching staff packing their bags I couldn't give a s*** what Miles has to say. Changes MUST be made. Period.

Agreed in part. I know that I've long been over Les Miles' never-ending drivel. It's all fluff, and no substance. I realize we are in deep with Miles and he will be here for far too long. But, I'll sound the trumpet in spite of that. The reassigning of duties on the coaching staff will not resolve the offensive woes. It also couldn't hurt. Just don't expect a big change.
